80's Rock
Since everyone is posting music, thought I might get some input of my own. Reading through some posts I saw that people either liked or hated the 80's for music. Regardless, what is your favorite 80's rock/hair band to come from the 80's. I have to go with Motley Crue, they set the trend for all the bands coming out of LA and are still rocking today.

Re: 80's Rock
Metallica and GNR is about the most of what I remember from 80s that I really liked.
Then again I was born in the 80s so of course I was more into the 90s.

Re: 80's Rock
Firehouse, Trixter, Warrant, Winger, Slaughter, Poison, Ratt, Bon Jovi, Europe, Scorpions, LA Guns

Re: 80's Rock
Van Halen, Def Leppard, Dangerous Toys, Tesla, and Bon Jovi.
My favorite album from the 80's is Aerosmith - "Pump". I can't really get into the Crue anymore since reading The Dirt. -

I really liked the book as well. I didn't like how they would just go through the motions to put out some records and came off as kind of ungrateful and selfish. It's the same reasons I wont listen to anything Aerosmith put out from "Night in the Ruts" to about "Done With Mirrors" but like all their other stuff.

Re: 80's Rock
The tail end of the 80's is right when I started getting into music. My parents agreed to let me get a Bon Jovi tape, instead I chucked Open Up And Say Ahh into the cart. I think I made the right choice. Doesn't seem as rebellious now, but at the time I felt pretty badass. Still crank up Poison when it's on the radio.
Megadeth is another band I've always liked that came out of the 80's.

Most in Cedar Rapids as a teen in the 80's. All the bands used to come thru here. lots of the bands are still playing, tho in smaller venues. 20's years later or so and they are playing in bars, state fairs, race tracks.

Love the 80's. Metal was great back then.

Re: 80's Rock
I was in tenth grade when Iron Maiden released "Number of the Beast" and you can probably count on one hand the number of days I haven't listened to some form of Maiden since. They started in 1975 but got their current lead singer in 1981.
