    Battle's BBQ Sauce to Go

    It is probably old news, but the last time I was in Ames I was able to get some Battle's BBQ sauce in a bottle to go. I don't know when they started doing that, but it is great. I just had a sandwich with some sauce with rippled chips here in Chicago and it was great.

    Indianola got a Battles about a year ago, but I've never gone. Am I missing anything worthwhile? The parking lot is usually pretty empty, maybe people in Indianola just don't like Southern BBQs.

    There are mixed thoughts on Battle's but I would eat it all the time if I could.

    I picked up bottles when I lived in Ames, (1994-99) but have never seen it outside of the area.

    Tis good stuff.

    I am a big Smokey D's BBQ guy. They are actually moving there Skywalk Resturaunt into our building. I think my wife should be scared due to the massive weight I will be putting on.
