Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative. ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other." -

TETRIS is *totally* addicting. I think I paid $5 (maybe $3, heck I don't remember) but it was totally worth it!

Re: Favorite iPhone/iPod Touch application
The ones I use the most: twitterrific, facebook, lose it!, C25k, weatherbug, solitaire, to-do.
Other ones I like but don't use as much: paper toss, FML, LOLCats, sudoku, removem.
I have an iTouch, which requires wifi to do anything web-based. Most of the apps I have were free or cheap ($.99) unless it was something I really wanted. The most I've paid for an app was $3.99 (the C25k one).

Since I do the grocery shopping in the family, I love Grocery IQ.

I'm looking at getting an IPhone as soon as the 3Gs become available.
Any good golf scoring apps, ones that track history, individual courses and compute stats - namely handicap?
Also, anyone have any good personal finance trackers and especially ones that work with MS Money?

I like Bejeweled, and my hubby is recently addicted to Peggle (i think). He even got a version for his PC - and he spends hours playing the game.

We've gone down that road as well. My wife came home with Peggle a year ago and put it on the computer. Now, we're both playing the thing on the Touch. I got one of the ladies at work addicted to it now.
Bejeweled will just suck hours of your life away.

I like Mint... it's a good finance tracking service that allows you to set up an account online and enter in most of your bank/credit accounts and loans you have out. Helps by presenting your budget in a visual way, and especially useful for those who may be just starting out on their own.
Although, I mostly use games on my iPhone, so here are some of THE best I've run across, games that are not only fun, but take unique advantage of the iPhone's touch interface:
Touchgrind - Fingerboard-type game that allows you to pull off numerous tricks on a virtual skateboard. Controls take a little getting used to, but once you start getting better and earn better boards, you'll be pulling off impossibles in no time.
FlightControl - Unique game that could probably be pulled off on another touch device, but still simple and effective enough to have fun with. You must guide incoming aircraft to land at three separate landing zones -- long runway for jets, short runway for personal aircraft, and the helipad for helicopters. It sounds simple, but it gets really hectic once you've got 8-9 aircraft onscreen all at once, and you're trying to keep track of all of them.
Galcon/Strategery - These are two separate games, but are both somewhat similar. Strategery is sort of a Risk-lite, with simple, stylish graphics, and is very fun when you're on the go and you can't get invested for a long period of time. Galcon, on the other hand, is more of a real time Risk set in space as you try to conquer the entire map of planets by sending 25/50/75/100% of any planet's force to attack the next neutral or enemy planet.
I would also suggest Pocket God and Peggle. Pocket God is a short little game where you have multiple islanders that you can either feed to the sharks, toss into a volcano, have them chased by a T-Rex... this list goes on and on. But, for 99¢, you get almost regular weekly updates to the game adding some new content to the game.
Peggle is based off the popular computer game, and if you don't know what it is, then may God help you when you do. -
