It kind of has all of the things I like about Wilco in one album. I absolutely love disc 1 of Being There, but I always struggled with disc 2. I've put it on my iPod so hopefully, 13 years later it will resonate with me a little more. "Monday", "Misunderstood", "Outtasite Outamind" (or vice-versa, I can never remember), "I Got You (At the End of the Century)" are among my all-time favs. I put "What's the World Got in Store" on my 4 year old's lullaby CD. Great stuff.

I like it cuz its good ole Weezer but they mixed it up a little bit, i actually like it better because its more upbeat with more interesting melodies rather than strumming chords which I feel like is what most of their stuff is. Plus the album as a whole is unique. You have a more modern Bohemian Rhapsody. And "Heart Songs" is cool cuz they mention all the older artists that they listened to when they were young. Great stuff. I was always the same way w/disc 2 till about 2 weeks ago. "Sunken Treasure", "Kingpin", "Was I In Your Dreams?", "Dreamer in My Dreams" really got me to dig Disc 2. I think it started w/the awesome version of "Kingpin" on "Ashes of American Flags". On a side note, I decided that the disc 1 version of "Outtasite" is the Stones-esque version, if you will, whereas the disc 2 version is the Beatles-esque version. Not sure if that was Jeff Tweedy's intent, or not.

In Between Dreams - Jack Johnson Interesting choice. I was a huge Weezer fan in high school (saw them in Hilton in 2002), but I haven't been able to get into their last several albums at all. It just seems that they have all paled in comparison to Pinkerton, which is one of my top 20 albums, but not quite top 10. Pinkerton is such an incredible album that I don't expect them to top it, but imo, they haven't even come close.

I've been told by multiple people/media that Pinkerton was a sophomore slump and emo so i don't have it.
