Jet Ski Rental

Does anybody know of any place that rents jet skis around the Des Moines area/Saylorvill Lake area?

I am also curious as I have been trying to find such a place for a while. I do know they rent them at Clear Lake but that is a ways away.

We have used these guys. Great outfit. We rented a 26' poontoon and 2 SeaDoo RXTs. Great equipment and we had a great vacation.

Those look like reasonable rental rates.

For what you can buy a jet ski for you are almost better off buying a used one, using it for a week then selling it. Same thing with the boat or pontoon.

I've owned a lot of toys over the years and owning a jet ski was one of the worst experiences I've ever had.

They are not as reliable as Motorcycles, atv's, etc

If you don't live on a lake you either have to leave them in the water or trailer them everywhere. If you leave them in the water prepare to spend a week trying to get the scum off the bottom of the boat.


They are a lot of fun when you're actually out on the water but everything else is a big headache. I guess if you have a lake house they would make sense. I also assume that owning a boat is twice as bad.

We did condier buying some used skis, but the ones we rented were 5-6K (each) on a used market. Renting from these guys was easy.

Try it before you blast it.

Still enjoying the heck out of mine. Although I do shake my head when I see other boats all covered up and sitting in a driveway on a perfect Saturday.
