I just got word this morning that Glen Oaks was sold to Gary Kirke and others as recently as Monday for 3.3 Million. I can't speak for the validity of this but there was talk of it becoming a public course (before or after the sale I am not sure).
I've heard rumors along those lines as well (about it becoming a public course).

Interesting I wonder if the tourney will stay there then
didnt gary kirke launch glen oaks in the first place? his house on hole 13/14 is ridiculous
Maybe he will put a casino on the course. Much closer to my house than PM or Terribles
Thats REALLY cheap if true...

The price can't be correct. That doesn't even pay for the greens, let alone the ground or the clubhouse.
I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everyone.
