Grimes Sweetcorn
It sounds like they will hopefully, be selling by this Thursday, Saturday at the latest. I know the family and this is the word around the campfire. The wet weather has delayed it this year. The ears will probably be smaller to start.
Here's to the best sweet corn in Iowa!!! -

Re: Grimes Sweetcorn
I love hearing people fight over which sweet corn is the best. Truly amusing.

Just had a dozen for dinner that we got earlier in the day. Mmmmm no matter what you think it's tasty.

Re: Grimes Sweetcorn
We had out first batch of peaches and cream sweet corn. It wasn't the best (the ears were still fairly small), but it was good. Can't wait for the more mature stuff to come in.

Re: Grimes Sweetcorn
Gotta watch these vendors.. some bring the corn in from other states, got some from Mississippi this weekend.
People assume it is always grown local and that is dead wrong.

Re: Grimes Sweetcorn
Got Grimes Peaches and Cream on the fourth in Waukee. $6 a dozen this year. They were small but tasty ears and it wouldn't have felt like the fourth without it.
