Re: Egocentric America, or just another idiot?
It can really be easy to see why other countries can hate us at times. And yes, an idiot.

The gal was an idiot, but if we give so much significance to an insignificant event like Cinco De Mayo (i.e...as far as what this means to our country's history or for that matter, what it meant in the grand scheme of world history - especially compared to US' Independence Day) , is it that crazy that Independence Day would get some play in other countries (especially considering the number of ex-patriots thoughout the globe)? Just a thought.

Just a thought. I believe it is honestly just another reason for people to take off from work early and go party/drink it up. Nothing more.

I don't remember if there were fireworks, though, because I was too busy enjoying the fine English cider. -

Kind of like Hallmark creating and promoting every day on the calender as something special worthy of a card maybe? Hummmm...you may be onto something only this time it is the beer companies. -
Re: Egocentric America, or just another idiot?
Maybe not an idiot, just a product of the public schools. I vote for 4 parts ignorant, 1 part egocentric American. Possible idiot, but not enough information is given to make that determination.

Perhaps the same question could be asked about St. Patrick's Day...
Just a thought.

She was young, maybe 20, but it still scared me a tiny bit.
HAPPY 4th!!!!!!!!!! So you met my ex!
