Quite frankly, if I knew he was going to get off (no pun intended) with or without my testimony, I may be enticed to take a pay-off to not testify. That would help pay for all of the therapy my kid would have to go through the next several years. When are real celebrities actually convicted? Seriously. I'd take the money and put it to good use...

Ankeny - no one was paid off at this trial. The jury found him not guilty. The parent didn't testify and they lost.

No doubt! But, of course, that is not the way it happened. Didn't defend child, and didn't get cash.
