    Prepaid Legal

Just curious if anyone had used it here, or through work. We have Hyatt group legal available, with house stuff coming up at the end of the year I don't know if it's worth it to purchase or not.

I made friends with a future lawyer in college. Best single business decision I've ever made. He comps me all my legal needs, in return for the occasional favor.

I missed out on that, and my wife isn't a lawyer, so I'm stuck. :(

I signed up for one year, and used it once for preparing a will and trust. It ended up costing about $180 for the year, and a normal will/trust runs around $400-500. It was a good deal for us, since we knew we'd use it.

By "favor" you mean offing someone, right?

    Re: Prepaid Legal

Had a colleague quit his job and sell prepaid legal 'memberships' or whatever they call it. It reminded me of Amway...he was always trying to get others to work under him and to sell more prepaid legal services.

I'm pretty picky - if I want/need something done, I want it done right the first time. How good are the lawyers that provide the services??

    Re: Prepaid Legal

Think about the things you might need legal advice for and then think about why an attorney would sign up with Hyatt.
I was a victim of a series of accidents, as are we all.
