Are your parents on Facebook?
Do they embarass you? Are you friends with them? Do you wish you weren't?
Oh Crap. My Parents Joined Facebook.
Some of these posts are pretty funny. Thankfully my parents and most older relatives are technology-deficient and probably wouldn't be able to navigate Facebook if they were given a manual for it.
Re: Are your parents on Facebook?
Yes. My mom. I don't worry about it. My profile is pretty clean.
Re: Are your parents on Facebook?
I'm 25. My mom is on it. I'm grandma is on it.
I'm not concerned with what they see. They know me. They know I had a good time in colllege.
Re: Are your parents on Facebook?
My mom and her mom are both on it.
Re: Are your parents on Facebook?
I'm one of the parents on it. I have 3 boys who are active on it.
Re: Are your parents on Facebook?
reminds me of the pokemon episode of south park...
Re: Are your parents on Facebook?
My parents joined. My mom sent me a friend request I ignored it.
Re: Are your parents on Facebook?
My parents wouldn't learn anything about me that they didn't already know, but they idea of either of my parents navigating facebook is just ******* weird.
Re: Are your parents on Facebook?
Some of you will understand when you're a little older, and all of a sudden find that you haven't seen or talked to some of your really good friends in years. It happens, and Facebook is a great way to reconnect.

+1
My parents also have no desire to go on facebook and I thank God for that.
Re: Are your parents on Facebook?
I guess my first post was kinda negative towards the parents joining. I don't really have a problem with parents on it, and I'm not one of those who is all gung-ho about "FB was cooler when it was just college students!!!" or anything like that.
I don't have anything "bad" on my profile--if a prospective employer looked at it in the hiring process, I wouldn't be ashamed of anything viewable. No pics of me doing Edward 40-Hands or passed out with marker on my face or anything else that could throw up a flag. My parents know I drink, party, they know my friends, etc.
I just feel like they don't need to know everything I do/say with/to friends. My profile is set to private (only friends can see it, and only friends can see pics--set so that even if I tag Friend A in a picture, person B [not a FB friend of mine, but is of A] can see that picture but can't scroll through the others). I'd rather have my parents "keep tabs on me" (their phrase) by phone calls rather than stalking my daily life.
Some of my friends are FB Friends w/ their parents, and totally okay with it. Others are in the same boat as me. To each his own.
Re: Are your parents on Facebook?
I have an 11 year old son, and using Facebook as a surveillance technique would not be cool.
Re: Are your parents on Facebook?
I highly doubt my parents are on FB. I'm not sure my dad even knows how to turn on a computer.
That being said - I'm not on FB either.
Re: Are your parents on Facebook?
my mom is on facebook. has been for a couple years. she was an early adopter as far as the 'facebook moms' go, but facebook really has hit a point where its for everyone now.
Re: Are your parents on Facebook?
both of my parents have it. im fine with my dad but could do w/o my moms embarassing comments.
