Craigslist
Has anyone hear sold anything on Craigslist? If so, was it a good/bad experience?

Re: Craigslist
I sold 2 motorcycles on there this year. It was great.

No problems.
I see this as part of the DMR's problems - people aren't buying ad space to sell autos, homes, stuff - and that has really cut into their revenue stream.

Re: Craigslist
I've bought and sold many things off of Craigslist....great experiences every time. In fact, I just bought a new in-the-box espresso machine (normally $250) for $50 just last week.

Re: Craigslist
I have sold cars and household items successfully. I got a call from a guy wanting me to give stuff to him free because of some disability he had. I also got several calls on the cars lowballing me or wanting to trade other cars in for them. In the end I always sold the items for near what I wanted but be prepared to get calls from some nut jobs.

Re: Craigslist
I have sold quite a bit and have bought quite a few things on craigslist. I just got a great deal on the motorcycle in my avatar the middle of June and couldn't be happier. Free advertising and good deals if you watch it pretty closely. There are a bunch of flakes on there though so you need to use common sense.

Re: Craigslist
I've had fantastic success with it.... my main use for purchasing is typically for concert or sporting event tickets. As for items I've sold, anything ranging from antiquated computer equipment to a 14' wind surf board. I even sold an ISU coat with the old logo on it to someone back in Iowa last christmas time. Just arranged to meet the guy in Huxley while I was visiting friends on the Midwest holiday trip.
That slow choking sound sometimes heard in the distance is the world of newspaper classifieds dying a slow death due to craigslist. Of course maybe that's a good thing back in Iowa considering all of the Register haters I see on here.
I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. My wife is a Craig's list junkie! (ok, me too)
We'll put something up for sale, go out for lunch, come home, and there's like 10 - 15 responses already! I love it!

Re: Craigslist
We've sold a 200 lb television an a washer dryer set, both less than 24 hours of posting them.

Re: Craigslist
I bought a TomTom off Craigslist last Wednesday and couldn't be happier. Sold a bunch of random crap and like the poster above mentioned you'll get a few nutjobs but I've sold at what I've listed each time.

Re: Craigslist
Rented out my townhome . It worked great to find interested tenants.

Re: Craigslist
I put my old bigscreen tv up and had about four people call within four hours. The first one down to my house got it. We've also given away a few things too, and that has worked out well. -
Re: Craigslist
Thanks for the feedback... I ask because my wife and I decided to list our 06 Pontiac G6 on there. We simply don't drive it since we commute to and from work together.
A friend of mine was selling his house on there and someone else copied his listing as a rental listing for a fully furnished home telling people to check it out and if they liked it all they had to do was send the first months rent and he'd sent a house key.
Thus far, I've received an email from a guy who would like to give me his Harley Softtail for it.
I appreciate everyone's response! Thank you!

Re: Craigslist
Just sold a Kelty backpack on Friday, which was my first sale on Craigslist. I plan to use it more in the future.
