I have heard from an increasing number of posters and former posters on this site, that they are spending less time both reading and posting on CF. The reason I hear is that it is becoming more and more of a site for Hawk fans, and that it is no longer fun to post or read. I share those thoughts, and wonder what others think. I am not saying any action should be taken, just posting my opinion. Wonder what other Cyclone fans think.
Anybody that agrees with this needs to learn to ignore or probably is taking their time over here at Cyclonefanatic way too seriously.
I have no problem with the hawks on here. I just think we should change the name of the website to more accurately reflect what CF has become. We could call it:

Actually, I give up on threads that look like they could be promising because they ultimately spew the rivalry. It's definitely different than when I joined just a couple of years ago. Too bad. But I'll keep coming back - there will be good threads here - I'll just miss many of them.
I would rather there not be any hawk fans here, but that's not why I'm spending less time here (which I am). I just get tired of rehashing the same crap every day, and that does include the hawk threads, and they are usually started by Cyclone fans. Hopefully it's just because it's summer, and the site will be more enjoyable in the fall... as long as we don't totally suck at football.

I agree with you mostly. I spend the majority of my time in the Friday cave now and not on the hawk/main page. You're right, many of the threads are started by clones---but not as an attempt to bait and argue with hawks. The hawks on here just think that anything that has to do with any football that takes in this state automatically makes them experts and they feel the weird need to post a ridiculous amount of times on a cyclone message board. I'm not even sure how they get internet in their vans down by the river....Quote:

I was a bit surprised with the number of Hawk fans.
A few are decent,but most of them aren't.
The mods do a good job but they can only do so much.

Yeah, them darn Hawk fans posting on CF are almost as annoying as the Cyclone fans constantly complaining and posting about them :wideeyed:
I think my opinion has been has already been made clear in another thread. If we can get the majority of members to place these hawk trolls on their ignore list they will lose interest with no Clone fans to flame and they will head back to hawk boards. I am not a fan of fellow Clones avoiding coming to CF to read about the Cyclones because of the hawk talk. I would much prefer that hawk fans went somewhere else. Ignoring them can make it happen.
I don't understand why Hawk fans post here, nor do I know why certain ISU fans care. Neither is going to cause me to think less of the site though. Some people take things way too seriously.
