Moon Landing...40 Years Later

I've been reading a lot about the Apollo 11 mission, since the 40th anniversary is in less than a week. It's still amazing after all these years (unless you're one of the kooks that think it was a hoax).

Here's a freaking amazing fact:

The computers on the Apollo mission had less processing power than a modern cell phone.

He's a big moon landing hoax proponent that ambushed Buzz in various ways, like jumping out of the bushes and trying to get him to swear on the Bible that he actually landed on the moon. He filmed all of this for a "documentary".

First of all, not only was the moon landing a hoax, but Buzz Aldrin is not a real person. He was a creation of the Trilateral Commission and put forth to perpetuate the myth that Area 51 did not experience alien contact. Not enough room to explain further.

I get to meet Buzz and Neil on the 24th at a "splashdown" celebration down here. I'm absolutely thrilled. Buzz has been out there for a long time in the limelight, but Neil...Neil is very reticent. He doesn't feel like he deserves all the attention (which has been theorized is the reason why he was chosen as commander - they knew it wouldn't go to his head). Meeting Neil Armstrong crosses a big item off my bucket list.

Amazing what you can do when you don't have to piddle around with an OS. Yet the integrated circuit developed for the Apollo program is the foundation of modern electronics. What always strikes me as equally amazing, Endeavour launched just under 2 hours ago, with all of ONE MB of RAM. That's an upgrade from before 1991, when the shuttle's RAM totaled 500 KB.

The Soyuz has worked successfully for Russia since 1974 on an Argon-16 flight computer with 6 KB of RAM.

All we really need to know is that he won the Bilderberger competition to be the guy that landed in that beautiful sound studio
