Best Rivalries in sports?
I'm interested to see what everyone thinks are the best rivalries in sports, in order? Obviously we all know that ISU/EUI is good but lets be honest with ourselves, it is not the best. I'd like to know where everyone honestly puts it, too.
Some good ones off the top of my head:
Cubs/Sox
tOSU/Mich
NYY/BoSOX
USC/ND
USC/UCLA
Auburn/Bama
Auburn/Georgia
Bama/Georgia
Red River Rivalry
Cubs/Cards
Bears/Packers
Packers/Vikings (vomit. I hate when people talk about this 'storied' rivalry though bears/pack is superior in every way)
Duke/UNC
Lakers/Celtics
ManU/Chelsea
some budding ones,
Pats/Colts?
bulls/celts?

I'd put cubs/cards higher than cubs/sox, but that's just me. I also don't think it's the top dog. Also, I think Cowboys/Giants should be on there somewhere.
EDIT: Red River needs to be higher. I would toss NU/OU in there for the time from the Big 8 as well. Probably near the bottom since it isn't a yearly thing anymore.

yeah mine wasnt in any order, just the order that I thought of them. my personal order..
- Bears/Packers (maybe biased but I'd say realistically in the top 3)
- Duke/UNC
- NYY/BoSOX
- Cubs/Cards
- Cubs/Sox (really is a tossup for 4-5 to me, but the intradivision edges the intracity)
- Auburn/Bama
- tOSU/Mich
- Red River Rivalry
- boys/giants
- Lakers/Celtics
- USC/ND
- Auburn/Georgia
- Yanks/Mets
- USC/UCLA(on the rise with the Neuheisel)
- Packers/Vikes
I'd put the Cyhawk between 9 and 12.

I'd put the Cyhawk between 9 and 11.
I'd like the CyHawk to be that high, but there is no way it rivals the Packers/Vikes or Packers/Bears. I still think Cubs/Sox is too high.

I just never saw the packers/vikes as a huge rivalry besides they are in the same division.
and yes, cubs/sox may still be too high but having a lot of experience with it, it might seem larger than it is.

Packer fans tend to dislike Vikings fans, we respect Bears fans, but Viking fans are loud mouths who have nothing to back it up with except 4 SB losses.

I am sure I'll get learned up on these rivalries more as I am going to live with a packers fan and a vikings fan (im a bears fan) and another guy who I think is a vikings fan.

man utd/ liverpool is the biggest rivalry in england as both teams finish top 4 almost every year. so much hatred between the two teams that goes back many years it is shocking. there are other derbies(matches between teams from same/close to same cities) that rival it but this has to be biggest.
the clasico in spain is pretty huge between barcelona and real madrid. it will definitely be massive this year after madrid has spent billions on 3 players.
there are other huge footballing rivalries in other countries but these popped into my head first

The rivalry between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Montreal Canadiens is easily one of the biggest in all of sports. Don't forget Red Wings/Avalanche in NHL or Raiders/Chiefs in NFL either.

My experience with Minnesota fans is that they hate all things Wisconsin...

That's not true...we love their cheese, bratwurst, fireworks, and the ability to buy liquor from them on Sundays.
