Re: Scariest movie you've ever seen
I never understood why people thought 'The Ring' was scary. But I did think the original Texas Chainsaw movie scared the crap out of me. As for 'The Strangers'...I couldn't even watch the commericials without freaking out. I won't watch that movie.

Re: Scariest movie you've ever seen
One movie that scared me a lot as a kid was Silent Night, Deadly Night. The images of Santa on a killing spree stick with you. It had some graphic scenes (who can ever forget the naked chick getting impaled on the deer rack?), and when the killer said, "Naughty, punishment is good," it really freaked me out. I am sure if I watched it now it would be funny, but as kid it definitely gave me nightmares.

Of course, I was 7 years old.
The creature from the Id that even Robbie the Robot couldn't stop, that could melt Krell metal, that was invisible. That was scarrrrry. Yes! Me too, I was so freaked out by that monster as a kid.. pretty good special effects for the 50's.
Also, it is freaky to see Leslie Nielsen as the captain of the ship and the main male lead in a drama movie, and its freaky to see him with color in his hair still!

I don't think I'm alone when I say I'd like to see more and more planets fall under the ruthless domination of our solar system. -

That and the Dark Crystal were definitely not your typical kids movies that you would see today. We were tougher kids I think.
