Haha, I didn't know who David Bowie was when I was a kid, but I never could figure out why he wore such tight sweat pants and why he sang so much.. Loved that movie and The Dark Crystal too.

I can't believe Blair Witch has received three mentions; the category is "scary" not "irritatingly stupid"! Just follow the fricking creek until you find a fricking road already. "The Fog", with leper ghosts chasing Adrian Barbeau around a lighthouse made more sense than Blair Witch....

Yes. This. This is the one where they capture people and keep them in cotton candy yes?

When I was a kid, I couldn't watch Harry and the Hendersons past the part where he slides off the roof of the car. There was nothing funny nor goofy about that sasquatch.

Poltergeist freaked me out cuz I was really young when I saw it, also in the theater Blair Witch was pretty intense. It lost its edge on video IMO. For some reason one of the ghost on the movie 13 Ghost really freaked me out, its a stupid movie but one of those guys was scary. And another movie from my childhood that really scared me was a made for TV movie where the US was hit with a nuclear bomb, I can't remember what it was but it gave me nightmares.

Yeah this one was demented. I wanted to appreciate the naked lady all hanging out and sexy, but she was cut up and carrying around a knife to stab you. This movie played with my emotions.

I've never even seen Child's Play, but the whole concept of oversized dolls freaks me out too. I don't like them. The whole concept of seeing a doll, leaving the room, and coming back and they are in a different place.
I am sure Chucky is a ridiculous laugher, but the concept is ingenious.

The chucky ones didnt bug me, but there have been other doll type movies that do. Especially the porcelain type dolls. My mother in law has some sitting across the dining room table and they freak me out. Chucky was laughable because he had great one liners.

HAHA! I had totally forgotten about that movie! I think I saw it when I was 13 or something on Cinemax. I have the theme song from the credits in my head now.

When Blair Witch came out and the majority of people thought it was a real documentary, it was ******* scary.

I can vouch for that! Saw it in the theatre after seeing NO previews or any press for it. I couldn't sleep that night.

Not a horror movie by definition, but Hard Candy messed with me something awful. Made me scared of a women scorned near my naked lower half. That there is horror.

I had always heard that The Ring and Strangers were two of the scariest movies ever. Then I watched them and was extremely disappointed, I can honestly say at not one point in them was I scared.
