I am taking a break from CF

Hey all,

After doing some reflecting, I have decided to take a break from CF for at least a month, possibly longer.

I love the site, like reading everyone's posts (including those who don't enjoy reading mine), and have spent a lot of time on here in the past year.

I am going to spend more time writing on my blog (long overdue), and relaxing in my free time. It sounds silly, but it gets to a point where I stress about threads and posts on this site. I've become so emotionally invested in this site. When you start losing sleep at night, you realize it's time to take a break.

I feel like I've built a connection with many on here and just wanted to give people a heads up in case they notice I haven't posted in a while.

Thanks to the mods and everyone who's put up with me the past year!

Have a great rest of the summer everyone, and talk to many of you in September or October!

I actually care. I understand though.

Enjoy your time away, and make the most of it. Just make sure and be back in about a month so you can join in the hype concerning the upcoming season. We may only win 2 games, AGAIN, but who knows? At least we will be undefeated at that time.

I can definitely see how this site can get out of hand. For some it is an addiction. For others it is just fun. I would say for me it is by far more for fun then anything else. The social group I am a member of is great. In all seriousness.... When I am swamped at work I will go in there and just read some of the threads and I am nearly in tears I am laughing so hard. What a great stress reliever.

I usually need a break every once in awhile from this place. I usually take my break in May-June when nothing is going on. I think most people take a break now and then.

I am glad we have this thread for reference. Mark my word, two weeks from now or so someone is going to ask "What ever happened to mplscyclone?" And now, thanks to mplscyclone we can just link in this thread. small miracles.

Either that or we'll all be so preoccupied with the new "twnctyscyclone" character on here that is calling for McDermott and Pollard's immediate firing that we'll forget about mplscyclone :no:

I've taken breaks before. I've actually considered a very extended break, considering what all else the time might be used for.

Thanks for announcing that to everyone. I'm not sure if I could have slept tonight without knowing why you haven't posted.
