"High Tech" Products and their cheap ingredients

It's kind of an interesting read.

Its somewhat accepted that things like phones get crappy components so you need a new one in a couple years.

nevermind, the url has a word that is banned by the filter, so it breaks the link when i attempt to post it here.

If you want to read it, it is the main story on http://www.cracked.com/

    I'm disappointed.

I figured it would be about how the iPhone that costs $300 or whatever it is now has about $1.38 worth of components.

Re: "High Tech" Products and their cheap ingredients

I love the entry on AV cables. I hate it when the idiot sales guys at Best Buy try to tell you that you need the expensive cables. They're horrible about it. I had one person basically call me stupid for buying a Rocketfish HDMI cable instead of a Monster cable. He just wouldn't let it drop, telling me what a huge mistake I was making. He wouldn't let me get a word in at all, so I finally just turned and walked away.
