Tailgating T-Shirts
Well I was looking to make some T-Shirts for Tailgating, but since I wanted to do some modifying to a Cyclone logo and put it on a shirt they said it would be going against the trademark. Is there truth to this? If so, is there any way around it? I was also told that CY’s Roost cannot sell shirts with CY on it anymore. True or False? -
Re: Tailgating T-Shirts
True, my wife worked for Intensitee and they couldnt alter CY at all.

Re: Tailgating T-Shirts
true, i tried to get some golf balls with the I-State logo made and they wouldn't do it.
The workaround, which is what I did, is ask Jeremy if you can use the CF logo. They were really cool and free advertisement for Jeremy

If you are caught wearing it and say you made them yourself and haven't sold any for a profit, I highly doubt there would be any fine. However if you are selling them, then you can run into some trouble.

Buy a blank shirt, do your photoshopping job, print it on to the iron on paper, apply to the shirt, and wala, there you have it. May not look as good as what you would get from someplace like Intensitee, but it will get the job done.

Check out mine in my sig pic. "Cyclone" was the only thing the company who made ours would print. "Cyclones" "ISU" and "Iowa State" were all trademarked.

Re: Tailgating T-Shirts
ISU has a trademark office (well, that's what I call it for lack of remembering it's real name). When I worked at ISU, and we had promotion items printed up for our program, you had to have them sign off on anything and everything. If I remember correctly, they have a packet of info about what you can/can't do and all the crud that does along with it. Contact them and get the dirt on the process so you can figure out where to go from there.
