Yes. Thats what my point is. Its acceptable to have a lot of these other things, but somehow cells are a huge deal (though i think, while they do have some small effect on driving, it may not be as big an effect as some think). I contend that its all about the money.
Just like those damn seat belts and turn signals. Just a bunch of greedy cops, lookin to make a quick buck.

Re: If you text and drive

This police comment made me laugh as just last week I saw one of U'dale finest talking on her cell phone, eating a snack bar of some kind and typing on the laptop while driving beside me.

My $.02...far too many ppl just can't multi task well enough to handle talking on phone and driving.

Just last summer I had an old guy yell at ME for talking on my cell phone even though it was him who ran a stop sign and nearly hit me and the only reason he didn't is because I saw it coming (his speed was too fast to be stopping so I took evasive action). Yet when I explained the irony of the situation to him he still didn't get it. (we both were entering same business parking lot hence the reason for confrontation)

Yeah, the money of your survivors having their *** sued off because you were texting while you should have been paying full attention to driving.
