Waukee Police Press release.
PRESS RELEASE (This will headline the news tonight!) On 8-23-09 shortly after 11:00 a.m. Waukee Police Department received a call on the Crimestoppers line regarding a white male in his early twenties, with long, light brown hair, driving a gold colored Bronco/SUV type vehicle in the 2100 block of SE Olson Drive. The male attempted to lure a young female (7-years of age) into his vehicle. The male told the young girl that he needed her help finding his lost dog and told her to get into the vehicle. The girl ran inside and told her parents. Before approaching her, the male had driven by a couple of times while the girl was playing in front of her home. If you have any additional information or see a vehicle/driver matching the description noted, please call the Waukee Police Department at 515-987-1073 during business hours (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) or Dallas County Dispatch after hours at 515-993-4567. Or 911 anytime.

Re: Waukee Police Press release.
It is sad to say, but this is the reason I don't let my kids play anywhere unless my wife, I, or a family member are directly watching them. It is hard to believe that we live in a time when a kid can't even play safely in their own front yard, but that is the culture we live in now.

My daughter does not play in her own yard unless my wife or I are out there.

Somehow i think their have always been these sickos about. We just hear about it a lot more now due to ease of communication (the internet).

Re: Waukee Police Press release.
Hopefully this will open the eyes of some parents. I burn of anger after I hear any sort of story that relates to this. Hopeully when this sick bastard gets caught, he'll be locked up or a longggg time.

Re: Waukee Police Press release.
I hate these people (if he is in fact a pedophile) and wish them nothing but death.
No one has mentioned it, but equally important is the girl not getting in with him and telling her parents. Kudos to them.

Re: Waukee Police Press release.
The kid was well informed, no doubt. Good job on the parents part driving that point home to the kid.
In 1984, I was hospitalized for approaching perfection. -
Re: Waukee Police Press release.
Shouldn't there be an "allegedly" in that release somewhere? You know, unless it's on tape somewhere?

I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everyone. -
