You can't go wrong with a Glock.
If I didn't have my Springfield, I would have bought either a Glock 17 or 19. I have only recently become a handgun enthusiast but have put about 1,000 rounds through in the last 6 months.
Glad to see there are more like me around; and I would agree that one can't go wrong with a Glock.

I have shot both, and will be getting the Bersa in satin nickel. The LCP is a better CCW due to size and weight since it's a mouse gun. I like the Bersa better for durability and accuracy, and CC wasn't an issue since we can't CC in Illinois.

It must be nice to not live in story county...

People seeing you with the "heat" defeats the purpose of concealed carry, not to mention getting you in trouble for not carrying concealed, but open, which is illegal!
Shoot. for some reason i thought as long as it was cover like with a shirt or coat/whatever it was considered concealed. didnt know it had to be practically invisible. learn something new every day.

Mine would be for CCW (I grew up in Ill so I understand where you're coming from).
I prefer the term Pocket Rocket over Mouse Gun.

Well, it seems to get tricky if your shirt pulls up a bit and people can see it, then you are not technically concealed. I'm no expert on that part of the law, but I'm sure there is some kind of penalty. I'm going to try and avoid that scenario altogether...

Sounds like the kind women carry in their purse.

An alterior motive of mine is to get my wife to carry one in her purse eventually...
Re: Glock 26 or Ruger LCP?
FWIW, I've heard nothing but bad things about the LCP. Never shot one. For el cheapo carry guns, I hear that Bersas are fine.
The only issues with Glock that I know about are related to the .40s and bigger, as well as with weapon-mounted lights causing misfeeds.
Glock 26 is the heat for what you want.

+1...Love 'em.
Re: Glock 26 or Ruger LCP?
I have a glock 27 as my "carry" gun. I looked at several others, and actually wanted a smith&wesson M&P compact, but couldn't find one at the time. The glock is ultra-reliable and easy to fire. It comes down to feel for me. Personally, I feel round placement is more important than caliber between the lcp and the 26. I have several other .40's and that is the reason I went with the 27.
Re: Glock 26 or Ruger LCP?
glock, but that's just my personal preference. I've got a glock 22 and love it

What bad things, specifically?
I would prefer the Glock but the Ruger is certainly priced attractively...
