Re: mostly quiet on the hawkeye front
They were obviously a little shocked this past weekend. I would much rather have them talking a lot of trash, it makes it that much sweeter when we beat them. There are not going to be very many "surprised" hawk fans if ISU wins. There will still be an epic collapse on the message boards ie. 1. Ferentz has to go. 2. KOK is the worst OC all time. 3. Norm Parkers bend but don't break defense just does not work. etc.

Re: mostly quiet on the hawkeye front
I wish Iowa would have lost or won by 21.
Winning by the hair on their arse is a bad thing.

Winning by the hair on their arse is a bad thing. I agree. Though, having relative silence this week is not a bad thing. It's nice when hawk fans are humbled, even if only for a few days. It ALMOST makes them tolerable. ALMOST...

Respect takes a long time to learn for hawk fans...that's a fact! Originally Posted by DRCHIRO They were obviously a little shocked this past weekend. Re: mostly quiet on the hawkeye front
I disagree, this gives the Cyclones more confidence going into the game, that Iowa isn't worldbeaters.
Iowa cannot fix what was wrong against UNI in 3 days of practice, it'll take weeks.

I don't think it really matters. If they had won by 21 or by 1, to think that would matter on how they come out is a mistake.
Its the Iowa v Iowa State Game and no matter how much they say they dont care they do. They are coming out on all cylinders no matter what....

Re: mostly quiet on the hawkeye front
Well I think they also respect the fact they can't just come into trice and expect to win. But the game has not been played yet we have to go out and win it.
Go clones

Re: mostly quiet on the hawkeye front
Iowa's Oline injuries and Hampton being out has killed them.
There defense will let us go up and down the field. The problem will be getting into the endzone.
If you have a problem - if no one else can help - and if you can find
them - maybe you can hire: The A-Team. -

Re: mostly quiet on the hawkeye front
They're not humbled - they're scared.
Walking on water is easy. Just do it in December when it's frozen. -

Nice try, though.

Nice try, though. Reading some of the posts it sure sounds like ISU did something special last Thursday.
