I am not saying it isn't H1N1, but how do they know? My friend that is a nurse said the CDC told them to stop sending tests in right now so the only thing she can test for is if it the flu, not what type. Now that could be because they are in a smaller town and there is a big enouigh sampling coming into the CDC already, but just asking.
My doctor told me over 99% of flu right now is the novel h1n1 strain. Also, most places are not testing for the flu, it is what it is... the flu... not AIDS. I had it last week; I've had the flu about 5 times in my life and this one was by far the least severe.
There are probably thousands of Iowans walking around with it right now who don't even know they have it. It is much more common than the numbers show. Do not fear it, but do not spread it.

If that's the case, I had it a couple weeks ago. Funny thing is my kids have been healthy the whole time. It wasn't good, but wasn't particuarly bad for me...
Something I heard on the news got me thinking......
Evidently the regular flu shot is in short supply with the rush to get the H1N1 shot out. My understanding is that the regular flu has been much more deadly than this one. Delaying that to get this out quick seems like it might be a silly idea.
