    Re: MN-origin firewood in Urbandale??

I'll second that - good thing we don't need firewood here in Austin - Texas, that is, not MN..

Its cheaper to chop your own firewood. And it gives you a sense of accomplishment.

True...but those dodos in EAB infested-states chop their own wood and then drag it HERE - - dragging the bugs with it. Same story with Asian longhorned beetle, sudden oak death, pine shoot beetle, 1,000 cankers of walnut, mountain pine beetle, etc. Even gyspy oth - which just joy rides along with anything that was left outside, include firewood, furniture, campers, yadda, yadda. All are bad bugs/diseases that move with firewood.

That's why we say Buy (Chop) Local, Burn Local.

Passed a Jeep from Washington state last week, northbound in I35 by Ames. -Two guys that appeared to be wandering around the country. Along with the bikes strapped on the back was a pile of firewood. Oy Ve.
