Stillwater Area High School / Was prank streaking? School says yes - TwinCities.com

Interesting debate. Does the punishment fit the crime here? I can see both sides.

Disruptive? Yes.

That said, seems like the punishment was a little steep but not overly so.

Seems like nobody has a since of humor any more. He had a thong on, not showing his genitals. Plus it was during a pep rally, isn't a pep rally a disruption of the school day already?

that's my thought. either way, people need to lighten up. it's gotta suck taking everything too seriously.

My senior year at ISU, myself and 2 buddies streaked down Welch. I highly recommend it...exhilirating.

I wouldn't even think about doing something like this nowadays. Some of the registered sex offender laws that are on the books can turn a seemingly harmless prank into to a life impacting event.

Exactly, if you are caught streaking in college you may have a tough time finding somewhere to live in Iowa. For example, since you have to live so far from any school or park there isn't many places in Ames you can live. I remember a couple of years ago some people in a neighborhood were upset because of the high number of sex offenders in their area because that was the only place they were allowed.
