A book on Spencer, IA is a NY Times Best Seller

Dewey is the name of the book. It is a book about Spencer and a cat that lived in the Spencer Library from 1988 until 2007. The book is a New York Times best seller. I am only on the 4th chapter but it is a short very easy read book.

Yeah, we've discussed that here before, IIRC.

There's also a movie in the works, starring Meryl Streep as Myron, and a book sequel, too. It's a good story, but for me, the book was just OK.

I used to work in Spencer, and my old boss' husband is mentioned a couple of times in the book.

Dude, this is old news...I read a signed copy by Vicki Myron last winter. Great book, especially when you know the people and places involved. I can't wait to see the movie.

My grandfather is mentioned in that book. He was on the library board and I think he designed the Spencer Library.

It's a good story, but the book is not written very good. It's no Marley and Me.

I don't know about the book Marley and Me but the movie sure didn't do much for me.

They were in Lake Okobogee, actually. Spencer wasn't mentioned in that episode.

Didn't see many X-files, but I did see this episode, and I remember bursting out in laughter at the sight of mountains and Douglas Fir trees all around.
