Re: SAW 6
Did anyone catch the midnight showing or go to the Saw marathon at Century (W Des Moines)? I didn't think I could go to a movie that late and be in for work at 8am.

Re: SAW 6
I think it is great that my local library buys these and makes them available for 12, 13,and 14 year olds to sneak out and watch. Good use of tax money, librarians.
SAW has more box-office success, but so much of the bilge that is being generated by Hollywood these days is--by financial math--going straight to DVD and then to the bone-head library staffs who feel compelled to buy their crap under some pretentious "free speech" self-martyrdom. You should see the crap in our library. And I am not a prude....I like random nudity in my movies as much as anybody...I just hate the waste of tax money. Mine has all the SAW movies, all the Michael Moore movies indexed in "non-fiction", and every Lindsay Lohan movie ever made.
How can you like only a little bit of nudity in your movies. You lost any hope for me to agree with anything you will ever say again.
Nobody but HB knows for sure. You pretty much know nothing....like Knownothing would like to say.

Don't get me wrong, I love good action movies but I just don't find it enjoyable to watch someone cut their own leg off or dive into a pit of needles or anything along these lines... So I won't be seeing this as I haven't seen the last 4. The Saw movies are torture porn. Definitely not everybody's cup of tea. If you like horror movies but aren't into the torture, a great one I saw this summer was Drag Me to Hell. Great movie from Sam Raimi, like something right out of the 80's, even reminded me of the Evil Dead a little bit.
Ok so I have seen the first 2 but I only thought there were 3 so far. When the heck did they sneak in a 4 and 5? Did they go straight to video.

Saw 1 was brilliant, Saw 2 was good, and the rest have been just ok. I still plan to watch 6, but am not completely fired up about it. I agree the first one was probably the best because it was a different type of movie. I like them all because there is always a twist. I think they are pretty well written and I have enjoyed them all.

Re: SAW 6
Well Tarbox consider me the lowest common denominator of society then because I love the Saw movies. Yes they are grusome but they are really well thought out and always give you a twist that you don't expect. I have the first 5 and will probably watch all them tonight and then go see 6 tomorrow night.
Plus I think Jigsaws girl partner is hot, lol
Tarbox, I would like to know why you consider Saw cliche', considering it was a pretty original story line.

Re: SAW 6
I've only seen the first one. Although, I thought the story line was suspenseful, I was not at all impressed with the cast. The acting was terrible. and made it unwatchable, in my opinion. Especially the main two.
Plus, how do you sit in a room for hours, and not notice a guy breathing. If there is a "dead" guy in the room, I would imagine that most people would end up staring at him a vast majority of the time. At some point, you're going to see him breathe, I would think. I gave it a thumb's up for originality, but a thumb's down for casting and ending.
I should add that I don't really get into horror films, and maybe it is just because of the bad acting. And I understand that's why some people do like them...

This I don't get. I watched a documentary on the guy who wrote BS (who is a major DB) then watched the movie excited by all the hype portrayed in the doc. I thought the movie sucked and had no idea why movie execs were so pumped about the moviescript in the first place.
