Crazy finish in Mich. High school game
High school game in Michigan The kicking team down 1 kicking a fg to win game blocked ala UNI/Iowa the ball doesn't go beyond line of scrimmage. Other team runs off field while the kicking team runs the ball into endzone for td to win the game. Wow.

Props to the refs for not blowing it dead.

Re: Crazy finish in Mich. High school game
That's freaking awesome.
Anyone remember the blocked PAT that we had against Toledo in 2006 where they ran it in for the 2 point conversion while our players were celebrating? It was early in the game but it damn near cost us as we had to go to OT.

When he picked up the ball, his knee was down. I know as a holder, his knee can be down for a fake and its not a bad play, but I don't know if that still holds after the kick.

When he picks up the ball, his knee is still down; should have been blown dead.

Re: Crazy finish in Mich. High school game
Question--why when a holder has his knee down for field goal/pat is the play not blown dead right away?

Re: Crazy finish in Mich. High school game
I thought they had pink unis at first but then realized it was a camera problem. What an ending. Feel bad for the losing team though. What a hard one to swallow.

Re: Crazy finish in Mich. High school game
Looked like a lot of the players on the winning team were on the field as the holder was running in for the touchdown too. Kind of hard to tell from the camera angle, but seemed like they had too many on the field and it wasn't called. What a finish!

Re: Crazy finish in Mich. High school game
they even mention the UNI/Iowa game in their commentary. If my team lost like that I don't know if I could fully recover.

Re: Crazy finish in Mich. High school game
I am guessing since he never picked up his knee and then put it back on the ground that it doesnt count as a kneel down.

Re: Crazy finish in Mich. High school game
When the holder picked up the ball, he looked as if he knew the play was still alive, and was about to run with it.
