My little dude's last game
It'll probably be a relief to not see any of these proud papa posts for a while (til next season). Anyway, they finished 3-3 for the season, winning their "playoff" game 35-0. This is one of his big plays from the game. Thanks for indulging me! YouTube - One last sack for the season -
Re: My little dude's last game
He shoved the center staight back into the QB. Well done by 'Jr'.

Don't be afraid to buy a tripod for the vidoe camera.

That center has terrible technique.

pride.
That looks like 5th and 6th grade football. Our league doesn't allow a defender head up to the center until they are in at the 5 yard line.
Very nice play. I love to watch these kids grow during the season. My son finished his season last Sunday.
How big is your son and does he wrestle? My son is 150 #.

SMG Yeah, it's 4-6 grades (he's in 5th), Indianola youth football league. They line up here like normal football. My son plays center too, and it is tough against some of the faster kids, but he only allowed his guy by him one or two times a game. He's 5', 120lbs, and the only wrestling he does is with me. I let him play whatever sport he wants, but he's never asked about that.....yet. I told him it would be good for his balance. -

The hand fighting/ bullrushing/ throws that bigger bodies do in wrestling are also great lineman skills.
