Re-Runs on TV this week?

Anyone know why all the shows on at least tonight and tomorrow are reruns? Was just going through the guide on my tv for DVR and seeing that almost everything is a re-run.

Yeah; I noticed even Saturday Night Live reran the Megan Fox show - and that was from just a month ago ?#? Not that I minded too much

I may be wrong (because I can't find any dates for this year to confirm), but I think that fall sweeps start in early November. They usually do reruns for a few weeks before sweeps so that they get big ratings.

I believe the World Series plays a part in this as well.

Reruns already? New shows have only been on for a few weeks! Why can't they do reruns when I am on vacation!

I had somewhat forgotten about that, but didn't realize how long it was.

Could be. Since they now start the WS on set dates instead of however many days after the last team qualifies.

I guess it allows me some time to catch up on some recorded shows.

I guess I could be wrong too though. Looks like the shows for tonight and tomorrow are reruns, but my Thursday lineup is still in tact with new episodes.

Threw me off when I was watching the Big Bang Theory last nite. I only started watching it a few weeks ago and couldn't figure out who Dr. Stephanie was and why Penny was only the girl across the hall and what the hell was going on, until I checked the episode info and found out the episode was at least a year old.

Just got through the first season last week, I really enjoyed it, hope the next couple seasons are just as good.

That's way SNL does it. Typically they'll do three weeks on then two weeks off, except during ratings. And for those of you curious, the November sweeps starts tomorrow.
