V
Who all plans to watch this? The original series was on SyFy this weekend and I watched a few for old times sake. It was a decent show, but typical 80's cheese thrown in. I really expect the new one to be similar with plot, but I bet it will take on more political and social drama and less SCIFI. Much like Stargate Universe has been doing.

Re: V
That is one of the many great things about having a DVR service...you don't have to schedule around your time in order to watch something new. Just record it...and when you have time...watch it. If you don't like it...oh well! Love DVRs!
Wife wants to watch it but she was too young to remember the original V. I think we will record it...but after this past week (busy) we still have about 15 hours of television to catch up with!

Re: V
The original was so bad it was good...
But this one has Juliette, so I am not sure I can stay away.

Re: V
I will dvr it - so is this a long mini-series or a regular show?
Also, I like SGU the guy that plays the Major who is in charge is a good actor. He is the same guy who was the serial killer on Durham County this fall. I love his recurring line on SGU about the smart guy "he's a lot of work".

Re: V
I'm going to watch it, but I'm sad that Morena Baccarin (the alien leader) has cut her hair short :( She was much better looking with long hair!

Yeah, hes very cool. The thing I like about that show, is the fact its about human connection and survival. I lost interest in the Atlantis and SG-1 series because it was more alien stuff. ( i do like that stuff normally), but it got too weird. Everyone in SGU is a good actor and has some fine acting performances before it.

Re: V
Not only has Hollyweird ran out of orginial ideas for movies, looks like they've ran out of original ideas for TV series as well.

Re: V
I can't stand the one guy who's in it though. The little dark haired guy. Is this a hobbit movie?

V for Visitors is more political commentary than sci fi per one article. "We are here to help you."
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -

True but the first one tanked hard because it was too scifi and designed for a narrow audience. Sometime when they revisit properties they put a newer broader spin on it. We will see how far this one gets.

Re: V
Does it start tonight? What's the length of the series anyone know? I'm lazy and don't know how to use google.

Re: V
Is the new V tv show a remake of the original or an extension of the story or timeline?
