V The Series - Spoilers from those watching live potential

Anyone else going old school and watching V tonight? I'm watching now and undecided on it.

I'm going true "old school" and deciding that I don't need to watch a new version of what wasn't worth watching when I watched it twenty-five years ago.

I watched parts 2 and 3 of the final episodes on SyFy over the weekend. Gawd....one forgets how bad the special effects were 20 years ago.

I saw it and i'll probably watch it again next week. But I am 22 so I was too young for the old series. The terrorist cell that the FBI agents were investigating I knew where sleeper agents, but I was surprised that the V's found the resistance. I am curious as to how the resistance got the information that they did.

Their biggest mistake is trying to make a "season" out of this. The storyline is old and we know how it plays out. I wanted to get hooked but after episode one all I got was a rerun off what I watched before.

Your probably right in that someone like me who has not seen the old movies/series knows how this is going to play out. The population starts to take two sides, either liking the V's or hating them and eventually fighting breaks out.

Loved it. Will watch every week. Some corny stuff but who cares.

I felt a little nostalgic for the original, so I gave this a shot tonight. Better special effects, more tied into current events. Somehow I got the feeling this will be like the Terminator - Sarah Conner Chronicals, though. I can see it start out going somwhere interesting but taking forever to advance the storyline while they stretch it out over a whole season(s).

I'm not sure this will be worth getting sucked in to. Maybe I'll give it a week or two yet and see if it surprises me.

i didnt mind it to bad. i am to young to know the original but so far i seems decent. I dont know how they will be able to create more than say 2 seasons so hopefully it doesnt become another lost and runs 3+ more seasons than it needs to.

MB4CY, I think that the end of the series is predictable, getting there will be interesting and is what I am excited for.

I spent (wasted) 10+ hours going old school on SyFy network Sunday watching the 80's version. Great stuff

Marc Singer had his top 8 buttons on his shirts undone in every scene, and put on gloves to fight the leader of the world wide resistance that only added 2 people to the current resistance.

I wish they would have had at least 2 hours on tonight to get things moving. I feel like they will drag it on for a while.

The best part about the new series is the fact that syfy has been running the old series. One thing is evident on the old series, they got progressively worse. The original mini-series in 1983 was good, the 1984 series was okay, at best. The tv show was just horrible.
