    Gran Torino

I saw this movie for the first time last night and really enjoyed it.

    Just thought I'd share.

I watched it a while back and enjoyed it as well; I was expecting it to be intense all the way through from the previews, but it was pretty calm until the last few minutes. I liked the story, and Clint's character reminded me of my father-in-law (in attitude).

Great movie, definitely. The industry will lose an all-time great when Clint hangs it up.

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

I thought it was a good movie with a good plot. Some funny parts in there too.

Great, great movie....I saw it twice in theaters myself. Probably the funniest movie I've ever seen that wasn't intended to be a comedy.

The movie is based on aspects of the Hmong community in the Twin Cities. It's a very interesting culture and the gang aspects portrayed in the move are unfortunately very real.

    Re: Gran Torino

dragging up an old thread, but saw this on Sunday for first time. Never planned on watching it but it was what family wanted to watch. It's a great movie and glad I saw it. Clint's character is very vulgar in this language, but he did the role well as I saw the character Walt instead of seeing Clint playing a role if that makes any sense. Parts were funny and then you get a climactic ending.

Clint was hilarious in this movie, and of course it made you feel great at the end. I loved it.

I also loved it. I saw it in the theater and then months later on HBO or some other movie channel. The ending got me both times. Such a great story and ending...

As an asian, I laughed at most of his racist slurs.. I didn't even know most of them until the movie.

    Good movie overall.
