Any Mad Men fans out there?
What are your thoughts about where next season may pick up?

I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes. -

Love the show...but haven't watched the finale yet...so I best not open this thread until I do!

That was one of the most exciting episodes of Mad Men that I think I have seen. Lots of energy, lots of possibility...a peek into the purging process. I really like Jared Harris' character, and glad to see him as the spark.

I think its a great show and catch it on demand when I can but Dexter and Sunday Night football take up my night.
Some of those Mad Men sets are amazing recreations. I always am stunned too by the amount of smoking people did then, but hey it was normal in the office.

It looks like most were pounding down whisky on the rocks by about 10am every morning! You had to have a couch in your office back then so you could sleep it off back in the 60s.
I started in the "real world" in the late 80s and I remember some offices back then allowed smoking. I also remember that my employer kept a fully stocked bar in our office and it was not totally unusual for older guys to drink at lunch.
Interesting how things change through time.

Those were the good ole' days that I never got to experience. The days you could tell an employee they sucked if they sucked.

I love that they brought Red in to the new company right away. She's great. And Price talking to England on Monday morning was very funny.

Me to...gotta love Joanee!
I hope they keep Betty involved somehow...I sure would miss her.
I am glad the Pryce is on board as well...the call with his superior in England was classic.

I wonder if they aren't going to bring more characters in from the old company now that they have switched over. It was both funny and sad to see the office in disarray like that...everyone scrambling around "we've been robbed" and then Cosgrove discovering that they poached accounts and they are out of there. I really hate political offices like that, so it is hard for me to not associate it with my experiences. Obviously next season is going to be about new beginnings and rebuilding...probably take most of the season to settle the dust.
