Re: MTV supports terrorism
I like the show actually because I am certain they will all get their *** kicked except for the big one. The big one seems to be a ok relative to the others.
I like the real world too. It's good TV. Stupid, yes, but at least those people end up being real by the end.

I refuse to believe that The Situation isn't one of the greatest reality show characters of all time. That dude's ability to drop the word "situation" into every sentence he speaks is uncanny.

You haven't lived until you've been to the Jersey Shore.

Re: MTV supports terrorism
None that I'm aware of. The show portrays it pretty well. Guidos and big-hair skanks from Jersey. That's about it. Although there's Atlantic City, but that isn't the guido shore per se.

Re: MTV supports terrorism
This show is shaping up better than I thought it would.
from the Jersey Shore encyclopedia:
• Nickname n. 1. An obligatory variation on a given name, often phonetically related and sometimes only thematically so. Nicknames range from the basic (cf Ronald à Ronnie, Paul à Pauly D., Vincent à Vinny, Samantha à Sammi) to more abstract plays on a given name (Nicole à Snooki, Jenni à Jwoww) to extreme examples of metonymy (cf Michael, who calls his well-defined abdominal muscles “The Situation,” and because they are his defining feature, he himself is called “The Situation”). Usage: “ ‘The Situation’ is indescribable. You can’t describe ‘The Situation.’ ” — Michael, “The Situation,” describing the situation, Episode 1.
So some group of 3 frat boys see the cast in some bar, and want to get on camera and bother the cast for free drinks. How stupid can someone be to punch a girl with cameras rolling everywhere. I think the muscled-out guidos chase the guys around the boardwalk in this next episode.
The cinematic sequence at the end was almost Fellini-esque in scope. Cutting into a black screen right when the fight starts, then starting the tease for next weeks episode was like the ending of The Sopranos, only ten times better.

Re: MTV supports terrorism
So its like six episodes in and now the cast is doing the press and publicity tours, Jersey Shore continues its march towards pop culture domination. This show has basically changed my life, seeing DJ Paully Delvechio build his mix with his Italian flag laptop, girls fighting each other, a high stress work environement at the t-shirt shop, this show has it all.
