Need desktop speaker recommendations
My trusty old Logitech R-10 speakers bit the dust about a week ago; the bass has apparently blown out, and I can't see any way to fix it. (If there is, let me know.) I need new speakers.
In retrospect, the R-10 probably wasn't a good set for me- I listen to a lot of hip-hop and electro, so I need solid bass response, and at medium-loud volumes for party use. I'd like to get a decent set of 2.0 computer speakers. I don't want 2.1 or surround sets, as I have no space for that stuff. An auxiliary input would be a huge bonus, as would a headphone jack that doesn't hum like crazy (my R-10s did; it was unusable). I'm willing to spend a little bit of money, but I'm also trying to keep it reasonable.

I also remember a game with Kansas when Cy (wore a huge suit then) went out to center field, squatted, and "pooped" a couple of chickens that had been dyed blue then chased them around.

You're going to have a hard time getting good base out of a 2.0 system.
