IMO, this is all played up by Steve's comments "boy Chris, you sure know how to take an Iowa topic and turn it to something completely different".
These conversations just go that way and I'd be surprised if it was deliberate. Steve wanted to poke fun at him over it and Iowa fans latched onto it.
it's a Big XII bowl. I'm not sure why iowa should either. And from many comments - sounds like it's irrelevent. If Okie St wins, they're in. If not - it's up to iowa and PSU.
So the question is - why should iowa be picked over PSU?
Not sure why he should jump on any wagon at all.
So CW should be jumping on an iowa bandwagon because ...... . (?????) .... he's in Iowa?
Chris does a great job. Personally, I'd be much more likely to listen if they would replace Deace with Chris ongoing.
Nice job outta Chris... I always like his insight into ISU and the Big 12. I've recently started listening to podcasts in the morning if I'm at the computer so listening to the Miller-Deace combo is relatively new to me. Deace has good "radio skills," but cripes if one did a drinking game by taking a shot every time Deace references Michigan, WWII, or abortion, they'd reach the legal blood alcohol level within the first hour.
I guess I'm one of the few that actually likes all 3 of these guys.
loved listening to him this morning
Chris runs into the same problems Jon did when he didn't have Deace. They lack overall sports knowledge outside of their favorite team and conference. Chris and Jon do a helluva job in their area of expertise, but you can only talk about that for so long.
This is good experience for Chris. What is he, like 24? I think he could have a radio career in the future.
I haven't heard (as I'm already at work when their show is on) But I will agree, if you are going to talk about a team and didn't watch the game, that isn't doing your homework very well at all.

I like all three, but Chris is the youngster, and when he is paired with either of the other two, they just run right over him.
Deace is an intelligent guy, and I really enjoy the friendly kidding that Jon and Steve engage in. They know each other well, they are fair to those who call, and together, create an engaging show without having to be "shock" radio (nor do they have to fein opposing views, to get you to call.)
Jon is the "homer" of the two, but rarely am I offended or mad with his Hawkeye rants because he is tactful, fair, and respects callers. This is my favorite sports talk show.
Go Cyclones
Just thought I'd comment. I really enjoy doing the show. I'm really working hard at being the best I can be...trying to get better, like anybody at anything in life. I appreciate your comments...positive and negative. Thanks for listening and have a great evening.
