DSM Indian Restaurants
Does anyone know a good Indian restaurant in the Des Moines area? Have some family in town from SC and they don't have any where they live.
TIA

Re: DSM Indian Restaurants
My wife and I like the India Star; it is somewhere on Douglas, used to be on Beaverdale. I have eaten better Indian food, but not in Iowa. I think it is a pretty good restaurant and offers a good selection of Indian food. There is one, forget its name, over on 8th st. in West DSM, but I do not think it is very authentic, unless it has changed since I ate there a couple of years ago.

Uh, Sorry, but these are not Indian but Italian--at least the first two you mentioned.

Re: DSM Indian Restaurants
Namaste on University just west of 73rd Street (8th Street in WestDM). Great stuff.
In a strip mall on the south side of the road...near some comic book store I think.

Tandoors on 8th in WDM is hands down the best one.

Like I said.. On cell phone thought it was Italian... So... excuse me.. Nice to know we have people online that want to correct every single mistake a person makes. Probably makes them feel bigger and smarter I guess...

I am sorry you took offense to the correction; I am not in the habit of correcting every single mistake I notice, but this one was significant, given the desires of the original poster to eat Indian. I apologize if I offended you.
