Hello cyclone nation
I will be rolling into Ames tonight at about 5:30 and would like to go to Hickory Park. It has been several years since I have been there. How long should I expect to wait? Will I able to get to Hilton by 7:05?

Re: Hello cyclone nation
Yes, Hickory Park does a great job at moving people in and out of there quickly.

30 minute wait tops, 30 minutes to eat, no problem. Unless you are bringing more than 4 people.

Re: Hello cyclone nation
The wait might be longer since there is a pretty big Basketball game tonight

Bizarre nicknames aside, good game to you too. Get the Garbage Burger at HP if you've never had it. SO awesome, especially for how cheap it is.
True and Valiant
I also remember a game with Kansas when Cy (wore a huge suit then) went out to center field, squatted, and "pooped" a couple of chickens that had been dyed blue then chased them around.

HP, and many other restaurants, used to be packed before mens' BB games. Now, not so much...

Re: Hello cyclone nation
When did Hickory Park move to its present location? What happeneed to the old one. I went to ISU in the mid 80's and thought it was in a different location.

Go to Battle's. No crowds and they adhere to BBQ Code. They make their own sauce.

Unfortunately I didnt make it to ames until about 6..had to settle for the BK Lounge on Lincoln street i beleive. Thanks to all Clone fans for their hospitality. You guys were much easier to get along with than the Hawk fans at before and during the football game last fall. Good luck the rest of the year..hope you win out..improve our SOS..hopefully we'll do the same for you.
