Company Xmas Parties

Sounds like a lot of companies are cutting back on Christmas parties. I was wondering if your office/company is having one and what it consists of.

Our company is having a social hour with free beer and wine, dinner, comedian and probably a gift of some kind, and more free beer and wine. Most employees consider this the best company event we have and we usually have 3-4 events a year.

District trip to Brek next week. Skiing, Snowmobiling, drinking, eating.....drinking.

My company said in 2005 that the money used normally for the Christmas party would be donated to the Katrina relief, no gathering or function of any sort since then. Of course since then our pension was cut among other benefits.
