    Pretty sure we are on the cusp of the apocalypse, at least based on the way the locals are reacting. I am kind of dreading the drive home tonight, as people here are bad enough drivers without the inclement weather.

    It snowed (pretty heavily for awhile) here Wednesday morning. We somehow managed to survive the apocalypse pretty well...except for those two guys who slipped on the ice and tumbled down the roof of the Cowboys stadium...

    I bet they are pretty excited about it. They never get it and you know it will melt soon. In a couple days it will be in the 70's again.

    A winter Texan checking in. Just arrived Mon. and the projected low for tonight(10 miles from Mexico border) is 33degrees. They are concerned about ice on the bridges, and MAY have to close the interstate if it gets to bad. Weird weather here as it has been raining for two days until today.

    The weather conditions are supposedly causing problems for many of the Husker fans trying to get to the Big 12 championship game. Flights to Dallas are being delayed and flights to Houston have been canceled.

    Slight hijack - have you heard about Climategate? Apparently somebody hacked some emails by prominent paleoclimatologists, who admitted to ignoring/hiding data that didn't support global warming, and even intentionally preventing other scientists from publishing conflicting data. Altering scientific data to support political ends, bad deal...

    I checked that out that "snow in Austin" on the internet. I'd heard a little about it the other day but didn't pay much attention. I'll check into it deeper now. Looks like a huge scandal breaking. Snow in Austin?
