It started snowing lightly in Lincoln about 12:15 and has picked up a bit since. Weatherman says between 2-4 inches on our way here.

Well we'll see if 18" summer tires and snow mix well. If you see a black Mazda in the ditch tomorrow you'll know the answer. -
Re: Official Weather Thread for Sun & Mon 12/6 & 7
Today is just the appetizer, look for dessert on Tuesday and Wednesday...

THE HEAVIEST AMOUNTS ALONG AND SOUTH OF HIGHWAY 30 WHERE UP TO A

Re: Official Weather Thread for Sun & Mon 12/6 & 7
Yeah, Just found some discussions from the NWS on the Tuesday/Wednesday storm. Not looking like its going to be great anywhere in iowa. Here is some of the discussions. Des Moines: The Eruo solution would produce the worst conditions in the state since the March 1st Blizzard of 2007 that affected much of western and northern Iowa. LaCrosse: …still some uncertainties…and details will not become clear for a several more days…but if the current trends continue…headlines will likely be hoisted as early as this afternoon. Davenport: …extreme winter storm…potentially crippling with near historic potential…high wind speeds likely would also cause significant…prolonged and widespread power outages…snow drifts of 3 to over 6 feet deep will be common by late Wednesday afternoon. Yikes. -
