Shopping for I-State merchandise in Des Moines
I went shopping looking for I-State merchandise in Des Moines today, and came away unimpressed with there selection's for our merchandise. It sucks when all you see his Hawk merchandise, and Cornhusker merchandise in these stores! I went to Scheel's first, and could not find what I was looking for. Department stores like Younkers, JC Penny, and others hardly have anything for the Clones. Good God, we are only 35 miles from Ames, and all they care about is the Hawkeyes. -

I wonder how much of it is really the stores, and how much of it is prevented by hassles with ISU licensing.

We need a "Strawberry Patch" in a Des Moines Mall.
Or even Jordan Creek!

Sounds like you had the revelation that DSM is actually Hawk country...look at the Register.

I have actually gotten alot of really cool stuff at TJ Maxx lately. They have had alot of Nike Iowa state stuff, but it goes pretty fast.

Its a danm shame.I wish I had connections in retail.
I think ISU gear is extemely underutilized by retailers throughout the state.

Excessive intake of alcohol, we all know, kills brain cells, but naturally it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers. -

Check out The Stadium in downtown Des Moines, not a bad selection although some of it can be pricey.

"We embrace that challenge and what it presents to us. I’m going to approach all 12 games this way: We’re going to win them all. If we prepare and then go out and execute, we’re going to win all 12. Now how many are we going to end up with at the end of the year? I don’t know, and you’re right, I won’t put a number on it."- Paul Rhoads on having the toughest schedule in the Big 12 -

I have to second the TJ Maxx suggestion. It's hit-n-miss but everything I've gotten has been an excellent price. Sometimes Stine Mart has good product. Been getting quite a bit through Signify in Ames. If you pick it up there, no shipping charges.
