Snowblower won't start...

I remember reading this thread and it actually helped me out back in December when I moved back to Iowa. My snowblower hadn't been used in almost 2 years. I drained some of the gas out of the carb and it started. I should have bumped this thread then. I'm glad it is still alive and CyFan fixed my snowblower.

I wonder what advice Dave Ramsey would have for a non-starting snowblower?

starting or not, snow blowers are obviously only for people who are vain and psychologically dependent on status. What you need is a good shovel, not a fancy one, mind you. There's no need to put on airs. A basic wood and steel contraption will suffice, preferably unpainted. If you feel your shovel is too nice, just place it in your driveway and back your 1987 Chevy Celebrity over it a few times, until it has achieved the appearance of meagerness. Now you're ready to shovel snow. Pick the biggest snow drift you can find and focus on it first. Only scoop the minimum amount off of the smaller drifts, to make sure that they don't get any bigger. Once that first drift is gone, make yourself a cup of hot cocoa, to celebrate. It will give you encouragement to take on the rest of the drifts. No marshmallow's though. Marshmallows are unnecessary fluff.

Actually, you should create a snow removal business for the neighborhood so you can afford that nice big snowblower. Then you can purchase as many marshmallows as you want and call it a tax deduction.
