    Best new show?

There are a few new shows on during the week now past the "pilot" stage. What are your thoughts on them? Which are your favorites?

For me, "Modern Family" has to be one of the best new shows in quite awhile. Sorry, I don't know any of the character names, but here's what it has:

    - Al Bundy (can't go wrong there)
    - Al's wife is pretty good looking
    - The blonde chick, from Happy Gilmore, is a stunner (IMO)
    - The same-sex married couple who have adopted a little girl. The big guy is extremely funny.
    - Best of all...the "cool" dad (married to the chick form Happy Gilmore) who tries to parent his kids like he's there buddy.

If you haven't seen this show, I would recommend it. Absolutley hysterical.

Couldn't agree with you more... This is my favortie show right now. I love the "cool" dad, I like to tell my wife he reminds me of me... we have a newborn so that worries her... Especially after the first show when he had to schedule in time to shoot his son with the b.b. gun.

Modern Family - lastnights was fantastic. Santa punching the caroler cracked me up "not cool man"

Stargate Universe - best stargate so far because it hasnt turned goofy scifi. Its more of a human to human drama, much like Battlestar

Men Of a Certain Age I think is going to be a good one with Ray Romano.

    Community is growing on me.

V is a suprise hit in my house.

Community is good and you might as well count Parks and Rec as a new show with how much they retooled and improved that show since last spring.

I watched the first two episodes of V and liked it, but I hate dramas like that because I always miss a bunch of weeks and dread trying to catch up. Same reason I lost track of 24 last year.

    Re: Best new show?

Love Modern Family, great show and can relate a bit to the "cool dad" ideas. Kinda like Glee (sad as that may be, there is a train wreck feel to it that I enjoy) and Super Dave on Spike. Also, I have recently discovered Pawn Stars, which has become my favorite "educational" show to watch. I can't believe the stuff people find to sell.

Ed O'Neal's character is beyond outstanding. Same with the blonde's (HOT!) bumbling husband. Frankly, almost every character on that show are outstanding. It's by far my favorite sit-com since Office which I'm bored of.

Flash Forward is a dvr must as well.

Sons of Anarchy rocks but the season just ended.
