Girls Can Tell is great, too.

The first time I heard 10,000 Days was while I was pre-gaming for Dave Attell's performance at Veishea 2006. Vicarious and Jambi just blew me away the first time I heard it.
White Blood Cells just had too much filler for me. It was the album that got me into Jack White, but I think it's the 2nd weakest White Stripes album ("Get Behind Me Satan" is pretty meh). "S/T" and "De Stijl" have lots of good blues, and "Elephant" and "Icky Thump" are on whole different plane.Quote:

I saw My Morning Jacket play Hilton in '04 before I even knew anything about them. Pretty cool and a really good band.
Glad to see that "Funeral" is getting some love. It's definitely one of my picks. Some others that jump to mind when I think back are Radiohead's "Kid A", The Streets' "Original Pirate Material", "Stankonia", Wilco's "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot". There's obviously a lot to choose from.
I thought Demon Days and Hot Fuss were pretty decent.
This drove me near insanity. This is my top 5...I think. There are probably about 25 albums or so that I could call out, but these 5 are where its at for me.
My Top 5:
TOOL: Lateralus
TOOL: 10,000 Days (I could listen to both on repeat for the rest of my life and never get tired of it. AEnima is my all time TOOL favorite, but a bit out of range for the decade)
NIN: The Fragile (1999 so it barely makes the cut)
Kanye: College Dropout (Whether you like it or not, it changed the game)
Radiohead: Kid A (I credit this album to opening a many of doors for me)
Honorable Mention:
Up: Peter Gabriel
Top Ten that I can think of off the top of my head:
Arcade Fire - Funeral
Patrick Wolf - The Magic Position
The National - Alligator
The National - Boxer
The Postal Service - Give Up
The Coup - Pick a Bigger Weapon
Kaki King - Legs to Make Us Longer
Mother Mother - O My Heart
Sufjan Stevens - Illinois
Wolf Parade - Apologies to the Queen Mary
This is probably just a personal preference...but "Toxicity" by System of a Down was an amazing album.
