The camera lighting made me kind of think that it was a possible hallucination. I could easily see him falling asleep on the couch while packing those bags and imagining that. Did you watch the interview with tha actors afterwards (as well as some print interviews)? I think it's a safe bet she is gone.

Re: OMG Dexter!
What I have always loved about Dexter and other showtime/HBO shows is that fact that they are not afraid to kill main people, thus always keeping things changing and fresh. The Rita killing and Deb knowing that Dexter's mom was killed like that could be two seasons of stuff.

Re: OMG Dexter!
This is definitely the best show on television. Ending last night has me craving for more. Can't wait to see where the show goes from here. For all of you who have not watched this show, go buy them, you'll be glad you did.

Amazing. I wonder if the older kids will go and live with the grandparents that took them to Disney?
And now he has to be careful of Deborah - with her knowing his past (even though she thinks he doesn't know, she might be looking for "signs" or watching him closer).
Just in case you didn't know... I'm a girl. -

They could have just saved that for next season but oh well.

Unlike every other show I have ever watched, by season 4 yoiu can recognize a recipe and tend to see what is coming. This one throws me off everytime. About the only other show I can compare it to is HBO's Oz which is interesting because several characters on Oz are in Dexter. I am guessing there is a connection. No kidding... every seen Tudors? Of course alot of the characters have to go since it is historical fiction, but man they have no qualms about killing any main character in a terrible way (much like Sopranos).
I am so glad Rita is gone, she was driving me crazy and this opens up so many great new ways to take the show. Hopefully we will find out next season that Trinity snuck over and took care of Bautista and his annoying wife as well.

Re: OMG Dexter!
I am still rocked this morning. It's the best show on t.v. and I think ever. Every episode flat out delivers a great twist and you just sit there for 20 minutes afterword stonefaced staring at the t.v. I really can't wait till next season. I feel bad for the writers. There is no way they can top this season.
Nobody but HB knows for sure. You pretty much know nothing....like Knownothing would like to say.

That would be such a cop out, it would make me possibly quit watching the show. Nothing more cheesy than ending a season like that only to start off next year, "All a Dream, la-de-da-de-da, all is well now." Way to Dallasish. As one other person mentioned though, it would be interesting to see her as he sees his father. It would be a good way to openly discuss the conflict he is going to have now in his personality. His Father saying this is what he is (will Dexter now teach his sone the code) and Rita saying he doesn't have to be this. This "Darkness" is what got her killed. I have a feeling Dexter is going to consider this another innocent person he killed. He was definitely responsible. It's going to be interesting to see if he can even stick to the code.
I'm not looking more forward to this show than I am Lost. After that finale last night, wow, I just don't see how any other TV show can compare.

I still can't get that image of her in the tub out of my head. I woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't get back to sleep because I was thinking about it.
Is it September yet?

Re: OMG Dexter!
Just think how much fun they can have with the FBI (who took over the Trinity investigation) investigating whether Dexter did the deed or not. Wife in a bathtub full of blood, they have to start taking a closer look at the husband. Especially when husband worked on the investigation of the killer everybody will assume did it.

Re: OMG Dexter!
Couple of questions I have.
During the show they kind of paused for a second when Trinity was in the police station and Botista walked by. Do you think Botista is going to remember seeing Trinity.
What about Trinity's family? Are they going to mention the relationship they had with Dexter? I'm assuming this will just kind of faid away.
