Winter Weather Advisory is up for 1-3 inches of new snow across Central Iowa and alot of schools have closed for the day (including some in the metro like Carlisle, Norwalk, DCG, and North Polk).

Seems pretty weak considering what we went through last week.

It is, however, with the roads icy, adding snow really makes them nasty. Anything we do get, if blowing around, goes right on the roads as most ditches/medians are full.

Kinda what I thought, but I can see North Polk closing as it's mostly a rural district and were I live on the north side of Ankeny (gotta love having vacation at the end of the year to get used up), it's pretty ugly out.

4-7 inches expected here tonight and tomorrow and we are under a winter storm warning. Nothing like what you guys had last week, but that is fine with me.

edit- now we are up to a forecasted 5-9 inches.
